“When I was young, my grandparents kept a beautiful stained glass kaleidoscope in their family room. My cousins and I would take turns looking through this kaleidoscope to behold its dynamic displays of color and light. The light shining through these stained glass discs reminded me of Jesus’ heart for His family: a community of people who are illuminated with God’s light and, through their colors coming together, reflect God’s glorious light to the world.
At Kaleidoscope, these are the types of communities we long to see rising up in local neighborhoods across cultures and nations. From a multiethnic foundation, we seek to cultivate communities specifically where LGBTQ+ family members, friends, and neighbors are honored, dignified, and championed – not only in how they behold Jesus’ light, but also how they reflect it uniquely to those around them.”

Elizabeth Delgado Black (she/her)
Co-founder & CEO
Elizabeth Delgado Black is the Co-Founder & CEO of Kaleidoscope, an LGBTQ+ mission organization in New York City. An evangelist, theologian, and minister, Elizabeth longs to see Queer people experience social and spiritual justice and liberation in their unique fullness. Originally from Baltimore, MD, she received a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Washington Bible College. After her undergraduate degree, Elizabeth worked in developmental education before moving to New York to pursue vocational ministry. For 9 years, Elizabeth served as a minister with two prominent para-church organizations, teaching, preaching, and directing community outreach programming in New York City and abroad. She has developed multiple Biblical and ministerial teachings and workshops and co-authored the first Jewish-Christian LGBTQ+ Haggadah.
After co-founding Kaleidoscope, Elizabeth earned a Master’s in Contextual Theology from All Nations Christian College in the UK. Her research centers on BIPOC Transgender theologies of kinship, alongside writing and speaking on LGBTQ+ mission and evangelism. Elizabeth’s scholarship is featured in Christlike Acceptance Across Deep Difference: Constructive Conversations on Sexuality and Gender. Beyond her ministry, Elizabeth is a proud mother of two young boys, living in a household woven together with her children and two beautiful friends who are chosen family.
Meg Baatz (she/her)
Co-founder & COO
Meg is a bridge-builder and ministry educator whose desire is to see people grow personally and engage locally in diverse communities – particularly at the intersection of sexuality, gender, and spiritual life with Jesus. Prior to co-founding Kaleidoscope, Meg served as a Director at Posture Shift. She has been featured in Christianity Today, and on podcasts like Venture 12 and Life On Side B. Meg has a Social Work degree from Colorado State University.
Jesse White (they/he)
Intern
Jesse is a Queer missionary and counselor born and raised in the southeastern US.
They have a passion for helping people integrate faith and mental health in meaningful ways, with a particular focus on engaging with LGBTQIA+ people who want to grow in their faith, whether they’re just starting out or years into their journey with Jesus.
Jesse is also passionate about coffee and the spaces it creates. A barista for 11 years, Jesse loves the blending of third spaces with well-crafted beverages and meaningful moments with community.
Logan Morrison (he/him)
Community Outreach Coordinator & Trans Ministry Specialist
Logan graduated from the University of Valley Forge with a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and spent six years coaching collegiate soccer before moving to NYC. Through coaching and ministry, he developed a passion for mentorship and creating space for young people to explore faith and purpose in their own lives.
Through Logan's current work, he is passionate about fostering relationships with LGBTQ+ folks who do not identify as Christian and are interested in seeking God for themselves. He is passionate about sharing the radical love of Jesus with marginalized communities, particularly the TGNC community, and helping people discover that their stories and identities can be windows into deeper understanding of God. Logan lives with his chosen family and three dogs in the South Bronx. He loves running, being outdoors, travel, and soccer.
Fê Carvalho (they/them)
Spiritual Support Coordinator & Executive Administrative Assistant
Fê has a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2023). In their words, “Being an artist goes beyond making art; it encompasses the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and skills that engage people and shape society.” Keeping this idea in mind, they look forward to making a positive, lasting impact wherever they go. Fê is Brazilian and lives with their Peruvian spouse in Brooklyn.
